This heater promises a lot, and is certainly on the pricey side for an electric heater. The remote is non-intuitive, and seems to require several button presses to get the heater to respond. The remote's display shows you the current temperature, but not the temperature that you've set the thermostat to -- you have to look on the heater itself to see that. Received my order and plugged it in and it heated the room I had it in within a couple minutes. Works as good as advertised if not better with even heat distribution. Now use it to heat our entire downstairs (living room, kitchen, and dining room) during the day, and the furnace very rarely kicks on. When it does it's for less than half the time it would without the Vornado. The real test will be when we receive our first electric bill with this little powerhouse.
