A lot of the songs have a spiritual theme. so forth right some subliminal. Great song writting as always.

Tracy Chapman's new CD stands out because of her depth as songwriter, powerful vocal performance & unique sound. "Save Us All" is one of my favorite tracks on the CD with its slap-happy rhythm & joyful expression of tolerance, "I've heard that your God's older, Buddha, Allah, Krishna, manifest with many faces, worshipped the world over in foreign places; I assume your God must love you." Tracy Chapman is a real artist. Her work is always solid and enjoyable. I still like her first the best, but if you liked that one, you'll enjoy this one as well.

I have been a fan since her 1st release. I really enjoy the CD, it's mellow and classic Tracy. You go girl!

Chapman's back with some folky themes. "So our bright future is in our past," is the full lyric. In her 40's she's not quite as much of a fiery singer as she once was, but her voice is lovely as ever.
