Editorial Review:
Album Description: Rise And Fall, Rage And Grace, the eighth studio album from the OC punksters, is an impressive new set of songs from one of rock's most exciting and enduring bands. The Offspring entered the studio with legendary producer Bob Rock (Metallica, The Cult) to record 12 new songs culled from the most productive songwriting period in the band's history. This is the band's first full-length studio release in four and a half years, the longest gap between The Offspring's studio albums to date. 'Hammerhead' the 1st single from Rise And Fall, Rage And Grace debuted at #5 on the U.S Billboard Modern Rock Tracks and #18 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks respectively. The Offspring has performed over 1000 shows and they have sold more than 34 million albums worldwide, including their 1994 release "Smash," which more than a decade after its release remains the highest-selling album of all time on an independent label.

I just dont get it!! Still people comment on The Offspring:
'They've Changed' 'SELL OUT' 'Sounds Like linkin Park?' Huh?
The Offspring have produced more Songs in their current style than they did when they were creating mainstream punk.
Americana. Conspiracy of one. Splinter. And this.
This is The Offspring, Dont like it? Go Somewhere Else.

Good CD. Sound more like the original/classic Offspring, which I personally like better (though Conspiracy of One was good). The CD is upbeat-nothing slow or melodramatic.

ok - total honesty here: we haven't listened to this cd yet. we bought one for ourselves and one for our best friend for christmas. we've decided to wait til then to play it - oh, the anticipation. i am pretty sure it's going to be bomb, come on now, it's the offspring.

Unlike past albums there are no extra features on this CD, no music videos, no wallpaper, no karaoke, and no hidden track. Unfortunately there's no jewel case either. The Offspring are following the recent trend in music releases by having the CD packaged in a gatefold cardboard CD sleeve. The gatefold cardboard CD sleeve is inferior to a jewel case in that the CD is in contact with the cardboard sleeve which easily scratches it. A couple of days after buying this CD my CD was scratched up so I had ... Read More

I guess it would really be unreasonable for The Offspring to continue to belt out punk albums after so long. I'm a huge fan of their first 3 albums. This sounds more like compromise.
