The Magellan Maestro is pretty good although it will sometimes take you a couple blocks out of the way claiming it is the fastest route. As long as you have the right address it will get you to your destination.

For major city and area, there will be no problem. In small city and area, this GPS will have problem. Sometimes the pointer is pointing to different location. When we are in the road, the pointer is in the park. Keep jumping from one area to other area, bit confusing. Other than that, it is a good stuff to buy.

I do not recommend this unit as it will ship with outdated maps and is not eligible for the 30 day N/C upgrade. If you add the $80 cost of the unit with an additional $80 to upgrade the maps you are better off purchasing a new version or different navigator all together.
It took three separate calls to Magellan Customer service to find a representative that was even aware that the company offered a 30 day map guarantee and that this unit is not eligible. Purchase this system ONLY if you do ... Read More

Based on other reviewers' positive evaluations, I decided to purchase this refurbishied one whick looked like a new one. Car jack as well as plug charge tools are attached with it. Inputing zip code first is the most safe and reliable method. Before going to Miami during Dec. 1-3, I tested this navigator in Beaverton and Portland, OR. The result was perfect.
