This really is a very good product. The brush and the formula together separates the lashes and colors each lash. However, if you have naturely oily eyelids like I do, it is not the product for you. I have to remove the smudges several times a day. This is a great product for women who do not have a smudge problem.

I bought this on Saturday and it is terrible. It is better than
water proof because it does not flake, but it will still smudge under
your lower eyelashes. And that will not come off when you wash your
face so you have to use make up remover. In the morning, more is
smudged off, so the tips of your lashes no longer have mascara. At
the end of the day, it continues to smudge under your lower lashes,

I bought this product to use while backpacking. I thought I could put it on before the trip and not think about it again. While I agree that it stays on....it is not a stain. A stain would look like your lashes were naturally dark. This product goes on like mascara and feels like mascara. I love this lash stain! It's just what I need. It works like mascara but doesn't clunk. It will last for a few days even after a shower and face wash and doesn't leave any color on my face or run. You don't have to scrub your eyes to try to remove it, it just fades off slowly after a few washes.
