Our home is surrounded by woods; for years, the deck was unusable from dusk on, unless you fogged an hour earlier (and who wants to breath that stuff?). The Mosquito Magnet has solved the problem; ours is three seasons old, with no problems. Interestingly, this was not a bad year for mosquitos, but the unit works just as well for no-seeums, capturing literally hundreds of them. I used this product in a Dynatrap Insect Elimanator and all I caught in the trap were a lot of moths.

BE CAREFUL WHEN PURCHASING THIS ITEM. I CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT TYPE OF MOSQUITO ATTRACTANT IS USED FOR THE SOUTHERN PART OF THE US BUT IT IS NOT OCTENOL. AS STATED IN THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE MOSQUITO MAGNET.. OCTENOL IS FOR THE NORTHERN STATES AND THERE IS ANOTHER PRODUCT FOR THE SOUTHERN STATES. I PURCHASED BOTH THE MOSQUITO MAGNET AND THE 3-PACK AND NOT VERY IMPRESSED IN THE RESULTS. MAYBE 100 MOSQUITOS IN 1 MONTH WITH 2 COMPLETE PROPANE TANKS. Great that Amazon has it as none of the stores in our area carry it and it is the only attractant for our type of Mosquito Magnet. It is the same as the product that came with the Mosquito Magnet.
