For a NIN collector, you have to have this release, but to a music fan, no. This "remix" album, with the exception of the first track, is flippin weak. There are two remixes of "Wish" that just go on and on forever, long after they should have stopped, and one of them just continues this annoying drum beat and distortion for like 7 minutes! I cannot believe this!
I will give credit for the "Gave Up" remix that opens the disc up, but other than that, just skip them...

The cd is all over the place. It isn't for a casual NIN listener or even a casual music fan. It is a lot of strange noises and layers that makes for a weird listen every time. But it always puts a smile on my face. Trent really is a genius, as so is the guy from Coil.
My favorite tracks are 1 and 3. There is some awesome drum programming in those songs. The 2 remixes of Wish are cool, but get a bit repetitive and aren't as good as the classic version it self. It is one of NIN's best ... Read More

This is not a bad release by any means, but I still definitely prefer Broken. These remixes cross the lines between being genuinely interesting reinterpretations, and downright annoying tracks of noise. I found myself checking the CD player several times to make sure the CD wasn't skipping, yes, some of the tracks actually sound like that. Overall I enjoyed this release, and especially enjoyed seeing Coil get into the mix, but I really can not recommend this to casual Nine Inch Nails listeners. This ... Read More

Fixed is exactly what the title implies NIN's industrial vision fixed and perfected. Every track on this album sounds different. Out of all the Remix albums I own Fixed is the most diverse. This is classic mind-escaping industrial music. One of the first CDs I owned as well as one of my favorites. Standout track: Happiness in slavery.

I didn't care for this one at first, but then I listened to "Further Down The Spiral" and was totally misled. At least this remix album has somewhat of a direction. For the most part, I dug the first 4 cuts. The last 2 inspired me to rate this one at 3 stars. As for most people who didn't aknowledged the statement on the back of the cd, it says: Contains various interpretations from the "Broken" EP.
