I love this product, not only because it's so practical to have both Smoke and CO2 alarms in one unit, but it is so unobtrusive and it works well (doesn't go off every time you fry an egg). It is better to have a CO alarm at ceiling level for early detection, it is battery operated so it works when the power is out and can even go with you if you are away from home, even in your car. It also has a voice to discriminate between fire and CO. Great Product!

I like the way it was a voice to alert you when you are sleeping. Just a loud buzz can go unnoticed or ignored. Course I haven't had a fire yet for a full test, but I knew it worked well when I had it in the kitchen and I burned the toast.

This is the second one of these that I have bought from you and find them to be an excellent choice. I like the talking part, and it is very loud.

I've had the Kidde combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarm installed for three years and have paid $300 in electrician bills to install and fix them. Tomorrow morning I will pay again because the things wont stop chirping again.
The chirping is not caused by the battery. All the wire-in units have been reset. This is not the first time this is happened or that the units have alarmed because of a malfunction. Last time the units were still under waranty and Kidde replaced one. ... Read More

I originally purchased two of these 7 years ago when I moved into our new home. The two I just purchased are replacing the original two. Being a Firefighter I am very safety minded. Because these are two-in-one alarms, I think they are a super buy. About 4 years ago one of the alarms went off in the middle of the night warning of Carbon Monoxide.
