we used this product to secure the Highland 15 Cubic Feet top carrier bag, however the bars wouldn't stay flush to the car. At least 2 of the pads were lost in transit, and had we not tied the straps to the inside handles we would have lost our entire load. If you have a Ford Focus... BEWARE

This worked very well for my Honda Accord 4-door sedan. The included hooks did not fit anywhere on my car, so I used a pair of ratchet tie-down straps with endless loops, running through the inside of the car. The endless loop strap is better than S-hooks in my opinion since the S-hooks cause the strap to twist and put extra tension on the edge of the strap. Ever since I sold my pickup, transporting items like long pieces of conduit or lumber or other long items that won't fit in the trunk of my 93 Buick Lesabre has been an arduous task. I had been looking for an alternative to the expensive Thule and Yakima roof rack systems since I rarely have a need for a roof rack. I ran across the Highland 20052 Superfit Bar Carrier at Amazon.com while doing a google search. Being the cheapskate that I am I went to the "popular" auction site and did a search, I ended ...
