I watched the video about it on Amazon and the Sierra Club is a sponsor. Since when did the Sierra Club care anything about Christianity? Apparently, when they figured out how they can use it to advance their liberal agenda. Also, as soon as I saw that Brian McLaren was a supporter, I immediately wrote it off as an attempt at liberal propaganda using the Bible. The video also implies that Christians don't take care of the earth. What a crock!

I bought this for a gift for a freind. With a title like that I was concerned about the "slant" that it would have. I was pleased when I looked at it and my friend says he has read the Bible more in the last couple weeks than the last 30 years.

I find it very ironic that those of you who gave this "bible" a positive review stated that you already own one, even many, Bibles! So what you are saying is that you are willing to kill more trees and harvest more cotton just so you can own ANOTHER bible?! You call that ecologically-friendly?! Readers beware, this is not a "Bible" it is a poorly repackaged, scholarly indefensible, cheap marketing ploy form Harper and all scorn should be heaped upon them for such an endeavor. Verses that are highlight to purportedly show the environmental theology of the bible are poorly chosen. The bible does have much to say concerning stewardship of the environment and I refer you to Francis Shaffer's excellent work "Pollution and the Death of Man" but the green bible is brown in my book, like the dirt ...
